If you are interested in Winlink VARA HF Peer-to-Peer messaging (station to station over RF without going through a standard RMS node), the Emcomm Direct Messaging (EDM) organization will be holding a special event on Thursday, January 1st 2026:
EDM will host an open Winlink VARA HF P2P Check – in Net on New Years Day 2026.
It will run from 7:00 AM EST 01/01/26 – 10:00 PM EST 01/01/26 OR 1200 UTC 01/01/26 – 0300 UTC 01/02/26.
This event is open for participation by all EDM Members.
All EDM Members are encouraged to invite Ham radio operators who are Winlink capable from outside of the ranks of EDM to participate as well. You may copy and distribute this information to those you invite.
4 different frequencies throughout the day. Check in as many times or as few as you like.
