CSE: Autism 5K Walk 26 April 2025

It is that time of year again for Montgomery County ARES to provide communication support to the Autism Society of Dayton 5K Walk/Run
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, 26 April 2025 starting at 9:00AM, at Eastwood MetroPark, 1385 Harshman Road, Dayton, 45431
Time: 0900 – 1200. Meet at the corner of North Smithville Road at Springfield Street no later than 745am on Saturday April 26th for assignment location and T-shirt.
Frequency: 146.640 (-) pl 123.0 K8MCA Repeater. Alternate: 444.250 (+) pl 123.0 K8MCA Repeater
Will need approximately 8 ham volunteers to cover the course plus someone to act as Net Control. Volunteer T-shirts will be given out again this year. I will need your T-shirt size no later than April 4th, so the order can be placed.
The route this year will start at Eastwood Metro Park and travel west along the Mad River Trail towards Dayton reaching the turn around point just west of the Findlay Street Bridge. There is no public access along the Mad River Trail after it leave Eastwood Park until near the dead end of East Monument Avenue just east of North Irwin Street. Volunteers will need to park on Monument Avenue or Eastwood Park and walk to this area for coverage on the trail in this area.
